A new rumor, however, might bring some sanity to expectations but it is no less ambitious in its coverage. Well, Samsung is increasing the foldable screen’s size, it will also complicate things by making it support the S Pen stylus. According to leaked news, Samsung’s new Galaxy Fold will feature an 8-inch display with S Pen support. This device is expected to arrive early next year. On the other hand, Samsung has not conformed or rejected the news.
leaked news suggests that it holds the same in-folding form factor as the first-generation Galaxy Fold. The company has reportedly asked its component suppliers to make S Pen parts for the new foldable smartphone.
Next Galaxy Fold
At 8-inches, the foldable display will be significantly larger than the Galaxy Fold’s 7.3-inch panel. It’s also claimed that Samsung could unveil this device by the end of this year and release it by early 2020. Besides that Samsung has said nothing so far to suggest that it has a second foldable smartphone due for launch before the end of this year.
The report adds that the Galaxy Fold successor will have a similar “fold in” style where the screen folds inwards. It closes the device like a clamshell and revealing a smaller secondary screen on the outside.
While talking about the new folding phone, the next Galaxy Fold phone is said to come with S Pen support, which totally makes sense. The S Pen has so far been offered with the Galaxy Note series and some Samsung tablets as it allows users to easily work on large screen devices. It also said that the Samsung could announce the second-generation Galaxy Fold in December or early next year.
Other than this many customers also wanted to see S Pen support on the foldable device. It does remain a possibility for future models. It may just make sense when the internal display is a proper tablet-sized.
